A Guide to Brewing the Perfect Cup

An Introduction

Our steeping instructions are just a starting point. You can adjust it to your taste as you develop your own tea habits! We recommend brewing our loose leaf teas using an infuser with water at a minimum of 180°F . Tea must be brewed for at least two full minutes.

What you’ll Need

Loose Leaf Tea
Hot Water
Your favorite Tea Cup or Mug

Brew Time


Step 1

Heat your water to the proper temperature using a Tea Kettle or sauce pan. We recommend the following temperatures:

  • White Tea: 167°F – 176°F
  • Green Tea: 180°F – 200°F
  • Black/Chai Tea: 200°F – 210°F
  • Oolong Tea: 200°F- 210°F
  • Rooibos Tea: 200°F – 210°F
  • Herbal/Fruit Tea: 200°F – 210°F
  • Ayurvedic Tea: 200°F – 210°F
  • Step 2

    Once your water is to temperature, add 1-2 tsp of your favorite tea and 8oz of water to your infuser.

    Step 3

    Allow your tea to brew for 2-3 minutes. If you would like a stronger taste, you can let tea brew for longer.
